THE PRINCESS LOVE STORY

Long time back in a town
where the sun never use to set
lived a beautiful princess
who usually remained depressed!

She was as beautiful as a rose
her long hairs and pink cheek
mystifying beauty of her eyes
was all that poets of her time speak

a prince had left her ditched...
he went back to his city of Thames
without telling her and out of sudden
he broke his promises and claims!

She had a smile on her face
to show to the world
but deep within herself
she was a broken girl!

No love exists in this world
she had made up her mind
regret trusting someone for once
she wanted the time to rewind!

A day when she was walking
in gardens of her palace
she met a poor gardener
who wore glasses & smile on face!

In giving water to suffering dead plant
they became good friends within days
he was boring, strange, poor and weak
yet for her,his jokes left smile and gaze!

Hand in hand roaming and cheering
she started liking him from heart
but somewhere in her was a fear
will this be another painful start?

On moonlit night they met again
she wanted to say something but stopped
looked in his eyes within the spectacles
and a few tears from her blue eyes dropped!

The boy hugged her tight and tried
to catch each of those falling tears
and before she could say a word
he held her hand and made it clear

he would love her more and more
with each of his passing breath
his commitment for her would never change
until the day he submits to death.

She lost words when trying to reply
deep in his eyes she stared
embracing him then is her arms
they dissolved into love & care.

In years to come and seasons to go
His promises stood the test of time
He filled her life with all he could
The love he showed was truly divine.

When she was sad,He made her smile
singing & dancing in love for her
but pity in the face of this loyal lover
harsh destiny had other things to offer.

A horse stammered those streets again
the English prince returned to that shore
handsome & smart,in glory of his class
now had jewels, throne and much more.

He went to the father of princess
and asked for his old beloved hand
king was humble to have this offer
but left choice on her own stand.

leaving a poor hand, she held the other
the boy was shocked, broken & shattered!
She left him with no reasons
broken pieces of his heart he gathered.

She went back to her past
forgetting all she got within a second
how selfish was her own happiness?
The boy still wondering what happened!

The royal wedding took place
in midst of his tears and questions
princess never replied to his letters
soon settling in English mansions.

In fury of heartbreak and immense pain
he cried on as days changed to night
sobbing a chest filled with strain
he laid to death on god's might!

Not for once he cursed her
how true was his love?
Still prayed on for her happiness
even heaven's cried from above.

The love is pure, its never blind
as they always call it to be
we people don't have eyes instead
love dies in wait for us to see!!

dearest readers of my blog,
I had always wanted to write a poem about a story, A narrative rhyme description of something, hopefully this post comes up as a fullsilment to that long ages back made commitment to myself! :)
Lord Ullin's daughter read by me long back in class 9th! written by thomas campbell, had been my inspiration for this, I dont remember it much but all I know is that it had always been there somewhere at the back of my mind from the day I read it, sometimes as a poem, sometime as a story... I want the same effect to happen to the readers of "princess love story". an easier understanding verse coming from my end after "dreaming attrocious atonement", which I had later explain in its respective comment box!
hope you will enjoy reading this long, but I believe a fast read poem!
please let me know through your comments what u felt like after reading this,,,,

with ocean of love & universe of blessings
ur best friend and most honest wellwisher

a genuine story bt wid a bad ending....
an appreciable work done by u again.

god bless u!!!

PULKIT said...

@ neha - as far as personal account of life is concerned... the positive is being in habit of writing is to share everything and anything, a story or a poem or an article, without vicualizing the line between fact and fiction! as far as I remember, tracing back to each and every post on this blog, each and every line of this post and every other god damn word written on this blog is related to me, related to things aroung me, related to people and events areound me...!!
I write what I conclude from all that mostly and at time when I'm personally facing those lessons leart from life!
keep visitn and commenting neha! thanks:)

buff.....honestly on my side this one is very very.......superficial..I did not like this one.....no offense....and it is kinda...production of a mind inspired by betrayals and more.....too similar to too many other poems....and stories on your blog as well as by so many other poets........no shock value...could be easily ignored.....

now onwards I would comment only on those articles I liked the most
