Chocolat - A soundtrack worth forever - 1

I was looking forward to cover a number of muscial peices, that I wanted to talk about, long time back... but due to some reason or the other, they were not discussed... anyhow.. lets do it right now! I shall start it with this one...

Last week On a DVD , I catched up with a Movie called Chocolat (2000) starring Johnny Depp. Apart from the excellence narration, strong lead performances and Compact screenplay, this one had a tremendous Musical score, that has left me spellbound! If ur someone, who has an apt desire to explore coutry background music of France and European layouts, then do watch this movie, for an expirience, that shall last with you for a long time!

Chocolat tells the story of a young mother, played by Juliette Binoche, who arrives at the fictional, repressed French village of Lansquenet-sous-Tannes with her six-year-old daughter and opens La Chocolaterie Maya, a small chocolaterie. Her Chocolate quickly begins to change the lives of the townspeople. How? To know this... I advise you to catch this awesome movie treated very differently in terms of its Direction.
On surfing net the other day ... I got aware of the fact, that The album was nominated for the Academy Award, the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score and the Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack Album For A Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media. The original score was composed by Rachel Portman.

Amongst all the tracks in the movie... My personal favorite are these two -

1) Minor swing - an ultimate groovy acoustic guitar tune!

2) Caravan - A melody like this, comes...once in a life time. I am being told by a few people that this is based on the original score by Duke Ellington, but cover or not, this one was a masterpeice! Amazing!

This is what you call... Music, that leaves u in a state of bliss!

- AfterScript Lyrics-
The early light is breaking
The morning sun is waiting in the sky
And I think I'm gonna break away
And follow where the birds of freedom fly
I need you give
I need to live
For the world is slowly turning
And the light of love are burning
In my eyes

PS - I feel that finally I have achieved the Transition from Orkut to Facebook, at last. I find myself using Twitter and Facebook, more often and in higher priority then Orkut! :) I am happy, to be moving ahead with the world at last!

PPS - This article is also a part of The new Blog That I am working onto, along with some friends... Its called THE ENTERTAINMENT CIRCUIT! Those who wish to be a part of the writing team and Admin panel, and find themselves intrested in its theme... can leave their Email Id's in the comment Box! :) The team is still in the making... :) Take care, god bless!

TWILIGHT & TWILIGHT - THE TIME HAS COME !! "welcome to my world"

There are 2 things That I deal within the same post! One is a movie and other is a song album!!

Its holiday time here and these days I am on my regular exploration of stuff That I miss while the hushed packed semesters are on!

I caught up with this flick called “Twilight” which was based on a novel By stephenie Meyer, The first one from the Twilight saga!

The protagonists of the film are Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, who are played by Kristen Stewart (for me she shows some resemblance to emma watson in terms of features and she is indeed a refreshing performer, Her work was good in the movie) and Robert Pattinson,( I loved him as cedric digorry In harry potter and the goblet of fire... wasnt his old hair style in that movie a far far better one ? , anyways he is kinda cool) respectively. The premise focuses on a teenage girl and a vampire who fall in love. The on screen chemistry of the pair was no less then a phenomena that stayed with me after it got over!

While searching for the soundtrack of this movie, Instead I accidentally reached another song “welcome to my world” from a music album called “TWILIGHT – THE TIME HAS COME”, It is a track under the genre of POWER METAL and artists are from ARGENTINA. I am yet to research more on this but this one has stumped me hard! Alternative electronic rock was out of playlist for quite some time and specially after I started listening to Linkin park A little less then what I used to a couple of years back!

This is a must try for every one who loves rock! The vocals are fabulous, Do give it a try and notice the piano work from 38 seconds to 56 in the track that gives a new meaning to the depth of the version!

Another place, a place full of hope
Were nobody lies, where angels can be your guide
So many times I tell to myself
Go there inside, follow the sign

You can be living here
Whithout sadness, full of love
You can be living here
Trust in me, you'll never be alone

Welcome to my world
A world of love
A world that is full of hope
Welcome to my world
A world of life
You can leave your shadows behind

Don't hide yourself, wipe away the tears
Look how your hands are becoming to wings
Here in my world you can leave all your fears
Tell me what you want I can give you anything

You can be living here
Whithout sadness, full of love
You can be living here
Trust in me, you'll never be alone

Welcome to my world
A world of love
A world that is full of hope
Welcome to my world
A world of life
You can leave your shadows behind

Welcome to my world
A world of love
A world that is full of hope
Welcome to my world
A world of life
You can leave your shadows behind

YOU CAN EXPLORE MORE ABOUT THEIR MUSIC AND THIS PARTICULAR ALBUM FROM ... HERE!

(Ps - do let me know what you felt about this track if Ur a rock music lover, M waiting for a response in the comment box)

TUNES OF THE NIGHT - 1 (Ye raat ye chandni phir kahan)

NIGHT is beautiful! If its rainy or even when its a moonlight! Night surely has an expression in its every mood...

Starting off this series within MUSIC section of this blog to highlight some of the best poetic masterpieces of Hindi Music lyrics displaying the enigma of the beauty of the Night!

1 "Yeh raat yeh chandni phir kahan, sun ja dil ki dastaan", sung by the heavenly voices Hemant Kumar has not been equalled by any song of this type, composed by any music composure. Haunting tune and immortal creation by the legends like SD Burman and Hemant Kumar. Such meaningful poetry is out of vogue in this era!

Ye raat ye chaandni phir kahaan

sun ja dil ki daastaan
Ye raat ye chaandni phir kahaan
sun ja dil ki daastaan

he lahron ke hothon pe
lahron ke hothon pe dheema dheema raag hai
lahron ke hothon pe
bheegi hawaaon me thandi thandi aag hai
is haseen aag me tu bhi jal ke dekh le
zindagi ke geet ki dhun badal ke dekh le
khulne de ab dhadkanon ki jubaan
sunja dil ki daastaan

he jaati bahaarein hain
jaati bahaarein hain uthti jawaaniyaan
jaati bahaarein hain
taaron ki chaaon me pahle kahaaniyan
ek baar chal diye gar tujhe pukaar ke
laut kar na aayenge kaafile bahaar ke
ek baar chal diye gar tujhe pukaar ke
laut kar na aayenge kaafile bahaar ke
aaja abhi zindagi hai jawaan
sunja dil ki daastaan

ye raat ye chaandni phir kahan
sunja dil ki daastaan
dastaan
dastaan

ULTIMATE SONG OF FAITH

As far as I last remember there had been no other song that had caused a certain impact on my senses with respect to faith, the one that had been caused by this one! A lyrical masterpiece in fact! From the OST that I admired a lot, from the movie that disappointed me a lot “Delhi 6”, comes this track “Ariyan”. Feat the voices of javed ali, and kailesh khair in their sufiyana best on the melody of double oscar winner A.R.Rahman! The credit for the immensely meaningful lyrics goes to Prasoon Joshi . These goes like this...

Arziyaan Sari Mein, Chehre Pe Likh Ke Laaya Hoon
(All the requests, are written on my face)
Tumse Kya Mangu Mein, Tum Khud Hi Samjah Lo...
(What can I ask from you, you yourself should understand)
Ya Maula..., Maula Maula Maula Mere Maula
(Yes Lord... My Lord)
(Maula Maula Maula Mere Maula)

Dararein Dararein Bandhein Pe Maula
(Obstacles, Obstacles on my shoulders, O lord)
Maramat Mukdar Ki Kar Do Maula, Mere Maula..
(Take a control of fate/ fortune, my Lord)
Tere Dar Pe Jhuka Hoon Meeta Hoon Bana Hoon
(Am bowing at your feet, have fallen, and recovered)
Marammat Mukdar Ki Kar Doo Maula..
(Improve my fortune/destiny, O Lord)

Jo Bhi Tere Dar Aaya, Juhkne Jo Sar Aaya
(Whoever has come to you, has come to bow at your feet)

Mastiyan Piye Sabko, Jhoomta Nazar Aaya
drunk with fun were seen dancing to everyone
Pyaas Le Ke Aaya Tha, Dariya Woh Bhar Laya
he had come thirsty, and gone with a river full
Noor Ki Barish Mein Beeghta Sa Tar Aaya
wet in the rain of light, has came over

this is the real truth of those who have faith in true god! It can never comes to cheats who kill people in the name of god! I am sorry to say but my land is full of people who govern faiths and have no idea of what it actually is.

O Ek Khusbu Aati Thi
(There comes a fragrance)
Mein Bhatakta Jata Tha,
(I would lose control)
Reshmi Si Maya Thi
(There was a silky image)
Aur Mein Takta Jata Tha
(And I would kep looking)
Jab Teri Gali Aaya, Sach Tabhi Nazar Aaya
(When your stret was near, then I could truly see)
Mujhe Mein Woh Khusboo Thi, Jisse Tune Milwaya
(I possessed the fragrance, that you brought to me)

Tut Ke Bikharna Mujhko Zarur Aata Hai
(Scattering into pieces, I can really do)
Hoo, Tut Ke Bikharna Mujhko Zarur Aata Hai
Varna Ibbadat Wala Ssarur Aata Hai
(Otherwise I can only pray)
Sajde Mein Rehne Do, Abb Kahin Na Jaunga
(Let me stay at your feet[in prayers], I will not go anywhere now)
Abb Jo Tumne Tukhraya To Sawar Na Paunga
(Now if you leave me, then I will not be able to recover)

these lines had spoken my heart of the moments when I laid my head each time in the temple of Sai Baba at bithoor in kanpur from where I really found the true meaning of secularity! The real happiness lies in seving humanity and not in reading books and preaching them with force

Sar Utha Ke Mene To Kitni Khwahishe Ki Thi
(I had asked for so many things)
Kitne Khwaab Dekhe The Kitni Khosishe Ki Thi
(Had seen so many dreams, had tried a lot)
Jab Tu Rubaru Aaya...
(When you appeared in full)
Jab Tu Rubaru Aaya Nazarein Na Mila Paya
(With your presence, I could not look into your eyes[I shied away])

Sar Jhuka Ke Ek Pal Mein... Ooo
(With bowing head, in a second...)
Sar Jhuka Ke Ek Pal Mein Mene Kya Nahi Paya
(With bowing head, in a second what have I not achieved)

brilliant vocals of kailash kher here! Leaves a tremendous impact! Its been so many times in life that we had been trying to fool our god! Deep within we all are selfish! We are selfish cos we wish! Wishing shows our selfishness to god, may be one day if ever there is a god, and he would ask us to retrace the prayers made by us! There would be nothing more than personal wishes and how shameful would be that for most of us. will we be able to look into the eyes of our god?

Mora Piya Ghar Aaya, Mora Piya Ghar Aaya
(My husband/partner has come home)
Maula Maula Maula Mere Maula
Maula Maula Maula Maula

Time and again I had been left in tears after hearing this song in my I-pod! Rahmann had always been a maestro in portraying the essence of saint music in tracks like “kehna hi kya” and “khawaja mere khawaja” but this one had left a greater impact on me for sure! Most of it goes to the lyrics of this track from which even an agnostic like me had gathered inspiration to write something like this! This track had retraced me to the paths of the saint that I had been a firm follower of him even after becoming an agnostic and thats Sai Baba, the secular humanitarian idol whose idea of faith is the one that dwell within my heart! The existence of single power, the necessity of peace! The immediate stopping of ridiculous ex aggregated display of faith! In last few months I had lost the track of Sai Baba too, but thanks to this song, I am trying to find a way back into my faith in secularity and in him!

SOUL SEARCH !!

sense and maturity once attained will never leave you, childhood which once leaves you never comes back”

regretting had become a habit,I'm possibly seeking the answer to the dilemma that exactly what I'm constantly regretting. All I know is that there is something! Right there, well known yet so unknown, deep down within my soul.

Life is a constant journey of moving ahead with only one stable ingredient and that is “change”. To change is an inevitable law of nature, the indispensable existence of living, the invisible rule of life. We all change, without notice, without planning, without care! It is this possible change at the right time at the right place that can lead you to the paths of success, as well as the vice versa.

Some grow by age... some by time... some by actions. There is a right time to grow up, the word “right” has no possible definite definition here!

The biggest mistake of one's life is to grow up at the wrong time, the wrong time here means too early or too late! In my case, it was definitely wrong time, too too early!

Have you heard the song “where are you”, by Britney Spears? It talks about searching the essence of someone who had left! There is something or someone that I am searching, but what is it or who it is, I have no clue! :(

calling out your name

your face is everywhere

i'm reaching out to u, to find that your not there

i wake up every night to see the state i'm in

it's like an endless part i never seem to win

i can't go on as long as i believe

can't let go what i keep wondering

where are u now?

what have u found?

where is your haeart when i'm not around

where are u now, u've got to let me know

so i can let u go

i can hear your voice

the ring of yesterday

it seems so close to me

yet so far way

i should let it out

to say wats left of me

and close the doors of doubt

revive my dignity

but i can't go on as i long as i believe

can't let go what i keep wondering

where are u now?

what have u found?

where is your heart when i'm not around

tell me, where are u now, so i can let u go

i should let it out

it's time to let u go

i just want to know

where are u now?

what have u found?

where is your heart when i'm not around?

LYRICS THAT TALKS TO ME WHEN I AM SAD

Once again writing a post on certain lyrics of a song! Sometimes in life, You just feel like running away from circumstances, running away from where you are... that happens exactly when you know what mistakes you did in the past, for which you are suffering excessively in your present!

Rock had been a classy genre of English music, with extreme passion on skills, metals and drowsy and strong vocals, the extremism of creativity, the best for most! A partial genre of rock is “Alternative”, the modern day rock band “linkin park” is a typical example of such music! I came across their album “meteora” in 2005 and since that time, this particular track had been my one of all time favorite not because of the musical creativity involved in it, which also is brilliant but more because of its immensely meaningful lyrics! Love to hear it time and again whenever I am in a mood to analyze some fatal mistakes of my past! Seems that some part of my soul is captured in its lyrics!

It's easier to run!!
Replacing this pain with something numb!!
It's so much easier to go,
Than face all this pain here all alone!!
Something has been taken...
From deep inside of me!
A secret I've kept locked away...
No one can ever see...
Wounds so deep they never show
They never go away!!
Like moving pictures in my head
For years and years they've played...;

If I could change I would

Take back the pain I would

Retrace every wrong move that I made I would
If I could

Stand up and take the blame I would

If I could take all the shame to the grave I would

It’s easier to run...
Replacing this pain with something more!
It’s so much easier to go...
Than face all this pain here all alone!!
Sometimes I remember...
The darkness of my past ,
Bringing back these memories...
I wish I didn't have!!
Sometimes I think of letting go...
And never looking back,
And never moving forward so...
There would never be a past!!

Just washing it aside
All of the helplessness inside
Pretending I don't feel so misplaced
Is so much simpler than change

Its easier to run
Replacing this pain with something numb
Its so much easier to go
Than face all this pain here all alone

It’s easier to run
If I could change I would take back the pain I would
Retrace every wrong move that I made
It’s easier to go
If I could change I would take back the pain I would
Retrace every wrong move that I made I would
If I could stand up and take the blame I would
I would take all my shame to the grave

THE GODFATHER THEME - SPEAK SOFTLY LOVE

There are certain tunes which, no matter how old they become they dwell deep within your hearts and stay there forever and ever. One such instrumental music piece which resides in my heart and along with me in the hearts of millions others who have heard it is “speak softly love”, popularly known as the love theme of the classic all time loved movie The Godfather.

Speak Softly Love (Love Theme From The Godfather)" is a song written for The Godfather(1972), the first film in the Godfather' trilogy. While its instrumental version is simply known as "The Godfather theme", "Speak Softly Love" is the vocal version. The words and music are by Larry Kusik and Nico Rota. It was originally sung by Andy Williams and there had been many other artists, such as Bobby Winton have also recorded the song. An Italian version appears in The Godfather part III. It appears on the music compilation Mob Hits: the Best Songs of Mafia Movies. There are many other film themes Composed by Nino Rota (1911-1979). For solo piano. From the Paramount picture, "Romeo and Juliet”, being another loved one. Also lifted up in a famous Hindi movie score of “Akele hum Akele tum”, in the tune of the track called “Raja ko Rani se pyaar ho gaya”.

The lyrics by Andy Williams are as follows :

Speak softly, love and hold me warm against your heart
I feel your words, the tender trembling moments start
Were in a world, our very own
Sharing a love that only few have ever known

Wine-colored days warmed by the sun
Deep velvet nights when we are one

Speak softly, love so no one hears us but the sky
The vows of love we make will live until we die
My life is yours and all becau-au-se
You came into my world with love so softly love

(instrumental interlude>

Wine-colored days warmed by the sun
Deep velvet nights when we are one

Speak softly, love so no one hears us but the sky
The vows of love we make will live until we die
My life is yours and all becau-au-se
You came into my world with love so softly love

-andy williams

[Words & Music by Larry Kusic & Nino Rota
Recorded by Andy Williams, 1972* (top 40)]

Not just its a music theme for me but personally I sincerely feel like ending my tough days with this, hearing it on my mobile ear phones. The haunt in it! The passion! The stillness! Everything with it has made me fell in love with this every time I hear this. I salute the art of this composer and as far as my all time favorite movie “the godfather” is concerned then there is a lot more to talk on that master piece, will share it with you in some other posts, some other time! An embedded video of the music piece is attached with this post, hear it if you haven't yet and you will exactly as I do!

One of the most instantly recognizable film themes, Nino Rota's classic Godfather theme oozes Sicilian passion, charm, and just a hint of menace.

AMAZING POETIC EXPRESSION TO DEFINE LOVE

This is surely one of the closest and most apt hindi musical attempt to define love, an utmost and par excellence creativity of a lyricist. This came in the year 1969 in a movie called “Khamoshi”, starring Rajesh Khanna and Waheeda Rehman in the lead. I am an honest believer that more than 50% of the hindi music is and had always been inspired from the west. But some of our poets are truly gifted and have emerged up with some great creative expressions right from the past. One of them and my all time favorite is Gulzar sahab. This post of mine is a dedication to his one of my personal favorite work. This is a golden oldie song, which i don't expect many of my readers to have come across prior to the read. So for all the die hard romantic music lovers, here is a track worth listening. Two geniuses working alongside Gulzar sahab here are legandary playback queen Lata Mangeshkar and extremely talented composer Hemant kumar.

The lyrics of the song, which inspired and incited me to write this post goes like this...

If you are a true good music and meaningful lyrics combination fan like me, then this one is for you.

This one is an old classic with extreme depth in it, something very rare.

This one is worth hearing and understanding, not just listening. An amazing poetic expression of a great poet.

POETIC CRIES FOR PAINTING'S EXPRESSION

A fusion of two artists , one saluting the other! Simply amazing!

STARRY STARRY NIGHT!

In October 1971, came out an album titled “American pie”, that featured a song “Vincent” written by don Mclean as a tribute to Vincent Van Gogh. It is popularly known by its opening line, "Starry Starry Night", a reference to van Gogh's painting Starry night. This beautiful song elaborately takes us to a glimpse of different paintings by van Gogh. This song was written by don Mclean in the year 1971 after he got inspiration reading a book based on the life of the artist. Then this lyrically masterpiece poetry was recorded in the form on a 4 minutes : 3 seconds song under the label BGO in the production of ed freeman from May 1971 to June 1971. The following year, the song became the No. 1 hit in the U.K. and No. 12 in the U.S. Then for several years, the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam played the song everyday. Moreover, a copy of the sheet music is in a safe beneath the museum, along with a set of van Gogh's paint brushes, the hat he wore while painting Starry Night, and various other items. The song clearly demonstrates a deep-seated admiration for not only the work of van Gogh, but also for the man himself.

In each chorus, McLean pays tribute to Van Gogh by reflecting on his lack of recognition: "They would not listen / they did not know how / perhaps they'll listen now," except in the final verse, McLean says "They would not listen / They're not listening still / Perhaps they never will." This is the story of van Gogh: unrecognized as an artist until after his death. The lyrics suggest that van Gogh was trying to "set [people] free" with the message in his work. McLean feels that this message was made clear to him: "And now I understand what you tried to say to me," he sings. Perhaps it is this eventual understanding that inspired McLean to write the song. Many believe that the song is a touching tribute to van Gogh in respect of the hardship he faced with regards to his mental illness and his admirable good natured ways. Throughout his life, van Gogh was plagued with mental disorders, particularly depression. He "suffered for his sanity" and eventually "took his life, as lovers often do." The word "lover" puts into context how McLean saw the relationship of van Gogh with his art - a relationship of love. This love was strong enough for van Gogh to persevere with his art even without acceptance from his contemporaries: "For they could not love you, but still your love was true."

Below are the lyrics to Don McLean's hit song Vincent (Starry, Starry Night) and a comparison to Van Gogh's Actual Life.

Expressing Van Gogh's inspiration for the painting. However, one line says :
"Look out on a summer's day."
which is a false statement as Van Gogh was in an asylum at Saint-Remy, and was not able to paint picture from an actual view point, it is strictly from his mind.

Starry, starry night.
Paint your palette blue and grey,
Look out on a summer's day,
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul.
Shadows on the hills,
Sketch the trees and the daffodils,
Catch the breeze and the winter chills,
In colors on the snowy linen land.

These are references to other Van Gogh paintings.

  1. Flaming Flowers: The sunflower series

  • Swirling Clouds: Starry Night

  • Field of Amber Grain: Wheat Field with Crows

  • Weathered Faces: The Potato Eaters.

Starry, starry night.
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze, Swirling clouds in violet haze,
Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue.
Colors changing hue, morning field of amber grain,
Weathered faces lined in pain,
Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand.

This is Van Gogh's tragic Death. Even though he loved painting, his paintings could never love him back.

Van Gogh attempted suicide by shooting himself in the chest, which ultimately led to his death two days later.

For they could not love you,
But still your love was true.
And when no hope was left in sight
On that starry, starry night,
You took your life, as lovers often do.
But I could have told you, Vincent,
This world was never meant for one
As beautiful as you.

Van Gogh's artistic legacy is contained within his paintings, drawings and writings. They are everlasting and will never "forget" the style that created them. They are Van Gogh's eyes that watch the world. This is all metaphorically speaking though.

Starry, starry night.
Portraits hung in empty halls,
Frameless head on nameless walls,
With eyes that watch the world and can't forget.
Like the strangers that you've met,
The ragged men in the ragged clothes,
The silver thorn of bloody rose,
Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow.

Finally we come to the conclusion of realizing Van Gogh's eternal struggle with insanity.

Now I think I know what you tried to say to me,
How you suffered for your sanity,
How you tried to set them free.
They would not listen, they're not listening still.
Perhaps they never will...

"Vincent" has been featured on the soundtracks of several TV shows, including Heart of Greed Nip/Tuck, and The Simpsons. This song was the favorite of the legendary British Footballer George Best and was sung at his funeral in 2005 by Brian Kennedy. Other famous cover versions of the track include artists like Josh Gorban, Tori Amos, Julie Andrews, Justin Hayward, Jane oliver and Julio Iglisias. It is perhaps one of the most lyrically soothing song melodies that I have ever come across and wanted to share it with the readers of my Blog, for true creativity lovers this is an ultimate fusion of two forms of art that brings us closer to almighty, here “music” saluting “painting”. Awesome! I must say!

TERI YAADEIN, ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE MELODY

TERI YAADEIN

This is one of my all time favorite track and no matter how many times i hear it, i keep bouncing back to feel the essence of melody that lies in it once in a while.

The series originally aired in India on SAB TV from April 30, 2007, to January 17, 2008. Beginning June 11, 2007, the series was re telecast on sister network Sony Entertainment Television. Although the show was dropped from SET’s line-up in India within months, the series was telecasted until its completion on SET’s international feed, Sony Entertainment Television Asia, which aired the concluding episode of the series on January 31, 2008.

I don't watch television regularly but managed to watch selected episodes of a television serial called “LOVE STORY”. It used to come on SAB TV on mondays to thursdays at 9 pm, usually the time when i have my dinner. It was based on the outline of a college campus repeated love story with similar previously heard theme but the presentation was totally different in comparison to any other television show. The best part of the serial was undoubtedly its songs and music score.

The genre of songs was basically rock. Lyrically oriented soft metal based rock emotional sing along songs were the highlight of this mini series. Many songs of this ranging from the title track “dil karta hai naadaniyan” faboulously sung by rana majumdar to the lyrical beauty “mujhse milne ke woh karta tha bahane kitne” touched the deepest chords of my heart, but this particular song “teri yaadein” had made me addicted to itself. The credits showed the band “cactus” for the whole music of the serial but unfortunately and most shockingly this particular track is a part of plagiarism, sung by a Pakistani band called IMIK, the song was a part of their first album Zamana Badlay Ga - released in 2005. The song was titled as Piya.

""teri yaadein,mulaakaatein,wo raatein aur baatein
teri saansein,wo baahein ab mujhko yaad aayein
tere bina mera jeeya sataaye, kyun piya yaadon ne teri mujhpe ye jaado kiya re""

""teri saansein,wo baahein ab mujhko yaad aayein
wo adaaon ki ghataayein, mere dil ko chu jaayein
pyaari ye duniya saari, maine hai tujhpe waari, dil ne--mere dil ne tujhse, yaari ye baazi hari""

MERE KHAYALON MEIN--KHAYALON MEIN BAS TUM
MERI NIGAHON MEIN--NIGHAON MEIN BAS TUM

WAAPAS AA JAAO....MERE PAAS TUM SAADAA---WAAPAS AA JAAO.

The lyrics of the song and its composition captures both the pain of separation and the jubilation of the good times spent together in the same monotone! Awesome i must say is the way it is being sung in all its versions. The initial picturization of the song, i.e the video added as “teri yaadein(male version) is my favourite and no other such footage ever telecasted on indian television makes me feel the way it does. :)
