Some small small Things - 2

Praveen was 10 minutes late, he ran past the glass door at CCD that afternoon. On the corner table, his two close friends, Geeta and Ramesh were waiting for him. Ramesh greeted him and Geeta smiled back. They were in same college! Praveen was there today with them, for a specific task. To sort out a fight, between these both. A fight that started very stupidly and have carried on for almost a month now. They both were close friends to praveen and he was the one and only person who knew about their secret relationship apart from hi-bye in college. He knew, they were in love, and perhaps on a relationship driven mostly on phone calls after college hours, that had been a ritual now from past three years in their love life. Last one month had been a fighting phase again, the reason almost common then what young college couples face... this and that, more time, more phone, more gifts, more importance, more respect, more understanding and bla bla! Were the bone of contention again... They both havent talked to each other now for over 20 days!

“Ok guys... what is it? See.. there is a great deal of communication gap between you both.. first you must know that...” he started the conversation like a polite and moderate mediator.

“All cos of her... not my fault, she never had time... its always too many compulsions at her end...” said Ramesh, in a voice pissed off right from the start.

“Oh really? Look Mr. I try my best... but its just that.. you never really try to understand me... and waise bhi... ur bored of me now... why dont u say it on face... rather then your stupid games of switching off your cell phone etc etc... and ignoring me...”. She was in a yellow suit, and her voice was almost boiling off in the same color.

“hey hey... no fight please... have you both called me, to witness your another fight...”, Praveen smiled back, trying to calm then both and handing a menu card to both of them,

“ see yaar I told you... its just the same case with her... she makes conversations so tough... she is so...” Ramesh continued from where she left, and then she picked it again.

“I am so... what? Haan... what? You were the one who proposed me two years back... remember? Ya phir wo bhi bhool gaye?”

“stop blaming me god damn it! I am right in front of your eyes In college all the time...If you want to talk to me.. why the hell you need to call me, cant you just give me some time...face to face...”

“why would I? Haan! I dont want to get disgusted again and again... you cut my phone calls and then then... then... you expect me to beg you to talk in college... see.. “

In midst of all this, Praveen was watching out from the glass walls of CCD and almost too focused on something, that the loud spat between his friends seemed a mute!

“hey... you know what...” he said, cutting her short. “You don't love each other anymore...In fact you seem to have forgotten the meaning of love” they were sitting opposite to each other and yet lacking the eye contact, “ you know what love is...”

they stared at him, almost trying to wonder what he is trying to say...

“It is that...” he said, pointing to a couple. Outside. The guy was on wheel chair and the girl was pulling it, They were both smiling even though Guy was handicapped, and girl looked poverty stricken, mature then her age, yet they looked blissfully happy, smiling... almost lost in their own love...

when they had passed by,

All three of them then sat speechless. In a deep thought.

This is so touchy! the meaning of love fades away gradually...but true love is not loving a perfect person but loving an imperfect person PERFECTLY!!!
