3 NOVELS IN 10 DAYS! BOOKS review!

From the duration from 4th January to 14th January 2009! I had my winter breaks, I took a break from my blogging and social networking sites in this period as was a little upset and a little ill. Meanwhile laying inside the blanket whole day, I engrossed myself up with three books! All Indian modern day current national bestsellers! Similar theme, romantic genre but different styles as well as approach and expression! All had their turn ons and turn offs. Three debut authors!

1 Anything for you, ma'am by Tushar raheja

(an IITian's love story)

I would rate this book as 7.5 on a scale of 10! It started off well, somewhere became really slow in between! Humor and pranks were not as good as that of the FPS(five point someone by Chetan Bhagat),a landmark in these campus books! Special highlight for me was the approach of the lead male character! His enthusiasm throughout the journey for his true love! The belief and faith in each other! The worth appreciating gesture of choosing long term better girl over short term date catches!

It could have been a little more pacer and thus lost the battle somewhere in between in comparison to FPS! Then too for the first time debut author Tushar! I would recommend you to read it once atleast if possible.

2 TRUST ME by Rajashree

(All men are bastards)

A high 9 for this and two thumps up! Very fast! Refreshing cos its out of campus yet equally humorous one! Paro, the central character has an honest approach of thinking! Positive end brings ample smiles on my face, something that wasn't expected :) characterization is very good! Story and theme could have been a little more complicated! The slang language reminds me of the classic “The Shantaram”, by Gregory David Roberts! The shooting sequences are hilarious and the line to line conversations are fast, interesting and makes it a worth read till the end without a lull in between! Awesome! Must read for everyone who loves to laugh and specially for those who thinks negativity of bad elements in metro life cannot be narrated lively and humorously! Rajashree slaps their faces and makes you laugh throughout her brilliant work!

3 Of Course I Love You..! TILL I FIND SOMEONE BETTER by Durjoy Dutta and Maanvi Ahuja!

(Love quest of a DCE'ite[Delhi College of Engineering] ending on An SRCC[Shri Ram College of Commerce] girl after many relationship experiences and their eventual chain of events)

well above average 8.5! Initially I was pissed off on Deb for being such a ridiculous and unarranged human being! Physical descriptions seemed to be forced in to create at an initial reading buzz in the starting pages! As the story moves, scenes become more realistic and appealing, even the physical ones seems a need for the manuscript... I literally fell in love with the utmost honesty and came to a conclusion that there are many other guys, like this Deb around me in my real life, but they are all pretensions and wanna be cool guys while this one is a real straight forward 'life as it comes' guy! His thought process remained the same throughout, humor was never missing whenever things started to get a little dull! But overall it was very fast! Best one ever read till date on narration of Delhi's night life! A must read for everyone who is in love with exploration of messed up life cos not everyone can live it :) yet its great fun to read! Loved the conclusive last quarter of book! Long live the bond of Maanvi and Durjoy, brilliantly coordinated work! One time read for sure!

Even I am doing the same these days , reading novels . I read that 'Everything For you Ma'am' by Tushar Raheja last week and completed in one night . A good read but yeah, I do agree that somewhere in the middle the story got exaggerated but its worth reading once . Its like a bollywood masala movie.
A good review of books by you and hoping to read the other two books soon :)
