When they lose... it hurts!

Wednesday, May 28! (2 am)... 2009

90 minutes and 55 seconds passed! A spectator on the ground shows a dummy trophy in the face of the camera @ ten sports... as the commentator says “thats not the real thing, but the real thing is heading towards the nou camp”. A dejected and frustrated viewer stands up from the couch and shuts the television set because he cannot see his beloved side loosing!

Wednesday, May 26! (1:54 am.)...1999

Commentator Clive Tyldesley asked: "Can Manchester United score? They always score!". 90 minutes and 36 seconds passed, Manchester united scored from the feet of Shiringham scored for Man United! 92:17. Solskjær scored again! Tyldesley again followed this with the exclamation, "Manchester United have reached the Promised Land." They won!

A 10 year old lad in his home was dancing after the completion of his first ever complete football match viewing experience and what a night it was for him! From that day on... if there had been one team that he had supported in club football with all the passion and spirit! Its been this!

Manchester United!!

Now you might have got some idea as to what led to his dejection last night!

His team lost! My team lost! He is me!

They were the defending champs this year and I was right there glued to my Tv screen to see them reach the top once again but Barcelona shattered my dreams along with the dreams of millions of red devils supporters like me!

I love football more then any other game and thats why I choose to write my first ever article dedicated to sports on it! I had been watching it for the past 10 years and played it for many years! Use to admire my childhood heroes ... 1. Gabriel batistuta (who played for Argentina... the national team I support). 2. Rudd Van nistelrooy ( used to play for Manchester United once and in that era I was a big fan of his) and then there is 3. Christian vieri ( an Italian player.. another favorite team of mine)

Its been so many years down the line, week in and week out I am a regular viewer of EPL (English premier league) whenever I get time and stays updated about various other leagues like Italian Serie A, German Bundesliga And Spanish Premira liga !!

I don't know what dint worked out for my champs last night! For me, It was Mr Ryan Giggs! Why was he given a start? His time is over! He lost the battle in the mid field clearly and the spectacular strike force was thus never actually Into play! While Xavi and Iniesta reached the peak of brilliance in the mid field, there was substituted scholls and superstar Christiano ronaldo losing their temper! They seemed to be a little too frustrated where it was not even required! They were outplayed by a team which was far far superior to them in terms of skills, composure and game play in the night!

They were the team in more possession of the ball, everything seemed to be working from their end while our studs like john O shea, and even substitute Berbatov lost ball like idiots! But from this lose if one lesson Manchester united needs to learn, I bet it is to retire Both Ryan Giggs and Paul scholls, I mean come on! They have had their best and they now in late thirties needs rest! They were magic at their age but you cant expect them to face the likes of henry, Eto and messi at this age and pace!

THEY NEED REST! I was sad so couldn't watch the final ceremony! But from next season, I will not be supporting Barcelona in the Spanish league against real Madrid! I Am waiting for next year when Manchester united knocks them out again just as they did many a times in the past! Hope my words reach our coach Sir Alex soon!

With the end of this post I had decided to put up a banner of me as a Manchester United fan in my side bar also! I am looking forward to write more shades of me in the near future here! :)

After a series of painful nights,With this match I found some rest! The end here too was painful but it helped me to forget the things that I had been thinking a lot lately :)

I went back to bed, ear phones are on! Music is a very honest friend! I tune in to radio...Jagjit singh mesmerizes me with the words “tere aane ki jab kharab mahke, teri khushboo se sara ghar mahke...” For a second as my last memory of last night I recollect, I thought about a very pretty face!

before I even noticed I was asleep! The precious sleep! It came late but it was calm and well needed! M glad I slept peacefully....

(PS - I have a little too many shades that I will ever be able to display ... Pulkit)
