A saturday @ Kannauj

(VEHICLE FOR THE DAY)

Saturday it was! Packed and preoccupied! Bhaiya came back home for the weekend break from his training In Lucknow and he was to visit the district where he has got his first posting as civil judge In Kannauj! :)(The only stop - Cold drink tak thandi nahi mili )

(Historical relics all along the road)

Now where exactly is kannauj, It is 84 kilometers from kanpur where we currently reside in!Kannauj is one among the most ancient place of India having rich archeological and cultural heritage, The ancient name of this place is Kanyakubja or Mahodya (as per Balmiki Ramayana, Mahabharat and Puran) later name kanyakubja was changed as Kannauj the present name of the District.Though I am not much into caste and all, But just sharing this info with you all As I knew about it today!
Kannauj was a famous and important city in the second century , The gupta empire was much evident there and still some temples of that time are present there!

(thats how it looks now so stop reading the history... It is history indeed)

Enough of this!
Must be getting bored reading this eh! But the more boring portion was what I faced and it is the journey from the road from my home to kannauj! There is something about my state, which surely is distinctive and yet constant, No matter wherever you go around the circumference of U.P. , you will find screwed roads and traffic jams along your way!
(Shivraj pur kasba - we need a bypass here for sure... 1 hour jam)

There were a little shower along our way and that helped us beat the heat but roadside atmosphere made sure that we dont have a healthy and cheerful journey! Bumps on the road made sure that the CD player of the car hangs the song many times and sound as if sonu nigam and udit naryan are being choked from throat, legs are still paining as I was not able to lift my foot of the clutch for few hours or so! If Mr kamal nath, the newly appointed minister is reading this then Sir please make sure there bypasses along the connecting roads of eastern UP before you end your term! As they seem to be the requirement of the hour!
Anyways! We reached State bank of India branch @ kannauj and My brother used his newly obtained ATM to extract his first pay :) that was a happy moment! I was glad to share the joy with him :)

(Our final destination)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

By the way Today a guest post by me was also published @ expressive silence On account of My dear sis Ms R's blog's completion of 100 posts! Read it here...
I am happy to be a part of her glory!!

very soon Even I am about to complete a smaller milestone! That is 50th post! I am wondering what I should do...
I am prone to life and the pen associated with it! I want to live it that way! More and more... in every passing breath! Lets see what destiny has in store for me on the other end! My future is uncertain!

(PS –
Tu kyun hai itni bechain
jab tu hai meri aur main hun tera
na bita ansuon mein yun apni raina
meri aagosh mein hoga tera sawera!

Why are you so so worried?
You are mine and I am yours
So dont sleep in in midst of tears
In morning I will kiss away your fears!)

( I thought about you in the entire journey, Missed you and was so so worried for you)
